Alex lives and works in Toronto, Canada. She likes art deco, magnolia trees, and airports, dislikes MOSS 2007 and academia. You can find her on the internet as PretentiousGit, a name solidly earned by having two fancy papers, one in Critical Theory and the other in Art, which is like having both a cloak and a dagger at the same time.
Knives like that don’t have your back, so Alex is attracted to sculpture, a solid discipline with messy parts and lots of different skills. Her favourite materials are glass, steel and wood, like the Canadian side of the Peace Bridge, but her studio access is limited, which is why she’s BFFs with Site3.
On weekends she likes to work on electronics, or better yet, farming.
